The English Language Learner (ELL) Program at Kipapa Elementary School provides English language services for students with limited English proficiency in four core domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. ELL students receive supplemental support services based upon their needs. The program supports the attainment of the Hawaii State Department of Education's Hawaii Content and Performance Standards (HCPS) III and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for grades Kindergarten through grade 5, through the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) standards. We strive to provide our ELL students with equal educational opportunities and a smooth transition to their new community.
