EL Program
The English Learner (EL) Program at Kipapa Elementary School provides English language services for students with limited English proficiency in four core domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. EL students receive supplemental support services based upon their needs. The program supports the attainment of the Hawaii State Department of Education's Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for grades Kindergarten through 5, through the World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) standards. We strive to provide our EL students with equal educational opportunities and a smooth transition to their new community.
