Kindergarten Christmas Performance
Kindergarten students perform a variety of Christmas songs after their gingerbread making activity.
Grade 1 Poetry Festival
First graders team up with their friends to present a poem on the Kipapa stage. Throughout the process they work on the following performer skills: Projection, Articulation, Body Control, and Expression.
Grade 2 Production
The Kipapa 2nd graders perform a play that is integrated with grade level curriculum. The play includes acting, singing, dancing and public speaking.
Grade 3 Speech Festival & Character Counts Fair Performance
The Kipapa 3rd graders select a poem, memorize lines, add expression to their presentation (with their face, voice and body) and perform their piece on the Kipapa stage.
The Kipapa 3rd graders also perform at the annual Mililani Complex Character Counts Fair. Students sing and dance on the Mililani High School stage for family and friends, while learning about the six pillars of character at the fair.
Grade 4 Production
The 4th grade performing arts production is integrated with the 4th grade Social Studies curriculum - Hawaiian Studies. The students explore a variety of performance aspects of the Hawaiian culture, including dance, chant, ukulele playing and song.
