SeaPerch is an underwater robotics program sponsored by the Coast Guard to provide students and teachers with the resources they need to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). On Build Night, Ava and Haley were able to measure, cut, and drill PVC to make the frame of their ROV. Grace taped, waxed, and put together the motors for the ROV. Joshua soldered and wired the switches to control their ROV. Once everything is dried, the team will put their ROV together and give it a test run in the Wahiawa District Pool before they head off to the Competition. Over 50 elementary, middle, and high school teams will be at the event. Ava, Grace, Joshua, and Haley will be representing Kipapa on March 10, 2018 at the Competition. Wish them luck!
